What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday 49

Well, truth be told, I took this photo yesterday as the so called sun flooded in at about 5 o,clock. The towel on the washing line just proves that I do other things. Even I was being driven to distraction by the mess on my desk! I had been gardening (blurgh) and came in to have a cuppa and get warm (blurgh) and was very struck by the need to tidy! So I did, and started to make sense of a couple things that have been hanging round. Then the sun really did break through. So instead of going back into the garden, I sat at my desk in it's full glare and added some more erm, stuff, to my WOYWWAC project. Now, this morning, I'm ready to roll...see Julia's tidied if not tidy desk:There's still some coloured in images waiting to be turned into something - turns out I can't do mass production too well either and I'm determined to use scraps with them, so that job's been put off too. On the bottom left is a new stencil from Do Crafts Henbury Lane series. I made the mistake of buying a couple of the stamps too. No wonder they didn't feature stamped projects in the magazine article about this range. Truly the stamps are terrible, they've been produced with no thought for the finished image. The finished images are almost impossible to decipher, too solid and too pitted in equal measure. Even at £3.99 and £5.99, don't waste your money folks. And if you have any connection with DO - design team, work for them - whatever, please tell 'em. My attempts are not getting through.

Anyway, rant over! Now, show us what you've been up to on that desk, tray, table, worktop, floor of yours - you don't have to be paper crafting and you don't have to be a member - this is for fun. Upload a picture to your blog, link it here and we'll trot around for a visit. Please be patient - there are loads of us involved now and lots of people simply cannot get around to every one's blog. No matter - I'm sure that randomly selecting a handful or more from the list is a perfect way to enjoy WOYWW; leave a comment on those few - 50% of something is always better than 100% of nothing!

And if you want to join us on week 52, you may want to consider the WOYWWAC - What's On Your Workdesk Anniversary Challenge. It's terribly easy. Make something lovely to adorn your workspace....it doesn't have to sit on your desk........it can be useful or decorative, it can be anything. But to be eligible for the Anniversary Challenge, it must somehow include the WOYWW acronym. Easy. Prizes too, unusually! (If you know Sissy Dunnit, you may want to start buying her coffee and stuff, she's the judge, see!)
Leave a question in the comments section - no such thing as a daft one - if you don't know the answer, it's always a good question!

Just popped by to say I am not WOYWWing this week.Have discovered ...like a few others on here ... that sitting for too long nosing at others desks ceases up the back and agrivates problems. I know me ...I wont be able to resist a quick nose at a few but I feel a week off will help.
Will probably have withdrawl symptoms lol
Loads of love to everyone ...Take care xx

Hi Julia, thanks for the info on the stamps, I did look at the stencil and the stamp of the cup stack and thought they may be quite useful
What were the images on the stamps you didnt like , was one the cup stack ?
Your desk does look very tidy, do you think the sun went to your head ?!! lol, don't you go over to the dark side where everything and everyone is tidy.....thing will never be the same on a Wednesday !!!

Hi Julia,
Thanks for letting us know about the stamps. I get fed up of buying below par crafting items - our stash money is precious!
I don't think I will have time to join in this week, but rest assured I will be back, perhaps every other week.
Have a lovely day.

LOL....at your washing line Julia....that's the first thing I looked at...well, you did draw our eyes to it!*Ü* I say whatever works for someone may not for another and your stamps looked tidy to me - even if they were out of sync! However, I would have had to put them back in alpha order but that might just be the Virgo in me! Your desk is always interesting - be it messy or tidy. Off for some toast and then begin my snoop! Have a Wonderful Wednesday. ~Glen~

Morning Julia, its roasting hot here... and no where near midday so only plans to be hotter still!! I always have cups of tea (not mugs, sorry, don't 'do' mugs of tea) sitting next to the 'pooter because it is against my scrapping rules to have drinks on my scrap table!! Your desk is looking so tidy - bet you found lots of stuff you had forgotten or 'lost'!! LOL
OK... quick question... am I allowed to make my anniversary thingibob oogiiflip thing and keep it till the date as I will packed up and mid shipment when it happens?
PS... I think Mz Dunnit is stunning gorgeous and clever and will make a fabulozzi judge!! (PMPLing)!!

Good morning Julia. Lovely to see your nice tidy desk but know you are just itching to make it messy again now :-) You said we could ask you a question?.....what does an elephant weigh? :-):-)

Dear Julia Still loving it especially your desk-don't give up on your stamps maybe you'll find a use for them that just hasn't occurred to you yet. I do know what you mean though about stamp quality. Your desk reminds me of mine-all the products trying to elbow their way in and just not enough time to try all the things you'd like to do. I do love hopping but just don't seem to be able to find the time for hopping or blogging at the moment WOYWW makes me have a go and I really look forward to it. Thanks JuliaXXXX

Sorry about it opening slow, it's ok for me but there is an under pop that comes up sometimes, I've emailed them and complained and given google did stop it once!! I hope it's not as slow as a few I've been to!! I mean...I can go and have a shower and make a cup of tea, and it's still loading!! But on the good side, just plugged your WOYWW to that same magazine... they've put a message on the forum 'where do you make your cards...' So I had to tell them about WOYWW didn't I!!

thank you for visiting the images were part of a box I was working on and wanted them all in the same colours so was easier keeping th epens at hand while i coloured the 5 images required! Glad I am not hte only one whoms sometimes feels like colouring but has no idea what they will use the image for if at all and they just sit in a pile waiting for a challenge or project to use them on!

I didn't play this week because I simply didn't have time to get to everyone last week. I think I hit a few more than 80, and felt bad. So your little project has grown so large, it's hard to hit everyone. Guess I should take your comment about 50% to heart, since I did manage a bit more than that.

Love your tidy desk this week. I guess it's good news that I've never heard of that stamp brand/line. Not even sure what you mean by pitted, but I bet a lot of stampers do.

Have a happy and wonderful WOYWW #49.
